The Ohio Department of Commerce has recently issued two new Video Service
Authorizations as a result of The Ohio Video Competition Act, also known as Senate Bill 117.
SB 117 passed the General Assembly and was signed by Governor Ted Strickland last year to
promote cable competition. The bill continues to have a great impact on companies and choices
for Ohio’s consumers. With the recent additions, a total of 32 franchises are now approved to
offer video services in Ohio...
